For those in or near Salem, there are plenty of events for you. The Miracle of Christmas Lights display is a favorite of Salem-Keizer residents. Each year, the Gubser neighborhood lights up their streets and accepts donations to the Marion and Polk Food Share. Spend an evening in your warm car, looking at beautiful lights. The event goes on through December 26th.
Christmas Storybook Land
Nestled in the heart of Albany, Oregon, Christmas Storybook Land is a beloved holiday tradition that enchants visitors of all ages. As you step inside, you're greeted by a winter wonderland adorned with twinkling lights, festive decorations, and scenes from cherished storybooks. This year, the event is celebrating its 47th year. Entry is free, but they graciously accept donations for the local food bank. This is one that you don’t want to miss!
Annual Holiday Lights at Shore Acres
Near the coast? Take a trip to Coos Bay to see the Annual Holiday Lights at Shore Acres. More than 325,000 lights will make Shore Acres State Park glow. The annual tradition runs from Thanksgiving Day to December 31st, 2023.
Zoo Lights
Among Oregon residents, Zoo Lights is a favorite. During December, the Oregon Zoo lights up with dazzling lights. Take a ride on the Zoo Train, walk through tunnels, and enjoy the millions of lights. Don't forget to buy a cup of hot cocoa, you might even see a few animals!
